Bellevue-Stratford Hotel

Park Hyatt Philadelphia at the Bellvue In 1904 George Boldt opened his hotel "of true opulence and splendor" in downtown Philadelphia, calling it the Bellevue Stratford. Designed in the French Renaissance style, the building contained ballrooms considered the most magnificent in the United States, lighting fixtures custom designed by Thomas Edison, and the most celebrated staircases in the city. Today, a $100 million restoration has transformed this graceful building into a mixed-use complex, combining retail boutiques, restaurants, office space, a spa, and a 93,000-square-foot five-level health club. The seven-story hotel, now known as the Park Hyatt, crowns the building and offers splendid city views.

Amenities: 172 guest rooms, including 26 suites, each with three telephones with data ports, television, stereo, VCR, marble bathrooms; European-style concierge service. Complimentary use of the Bellevue's health club and pool.
Dining: Panoramic views come with breakfast, lunch and dinner in the dining room, Founders; The Ethel Barrymore Room offers traditional afternoon tea and evening entertainment; The Philadelphia Library Lounge features light fare and cigars; 24-hour room service.
Meetings: Over 25,000 square-feet of meeting space, including the elegant Grand Ballroom, accommodate up to 2,000 guests.
